Sweet-N-Savvy: 01-26-2012

This has been a hell of a week, so tonight I wanted to make sonething fast and easy. I thought about take-out but then decided against it. I ended up going to 99 Ranch and got some shrimp and then decided to go to the deli and got a whole Roast Duck too.

So here's what i ended up serving:

What I do?

I am a home cook that creates pastries and dishes from my home. I dont own a store, nor do i cook in a commercial kitchen. My ultimate dream is to equip my house with a commercial range, a Le GrandePalais 180 from La Cornue . My Dream!

While I continue to dream, I cook and bake using a standard home range and oven. Now, what comes out of that home range/oven is usually shared with family and friends and is spread by word-of-mouth.

I love creating dishes in my small kitchen. I create dishes from a cookbook, from the back of the milk carton or from recalling a certain dish that I ordered from a restaurant or tasted at someone's house. That's my passion!

When people call me to ask and order food, i oblige depending on my schedule and availability. I am not a licensed caterer nor do I operate a licensed establishment.

I want to make that clear. I wish I had a license to run or operate a kitchen, then my creations will be endless. That is my ultimate dream!
